Respected PodcastOne Executive Chairman Norman Pattiz released the findings from a study based on a set of advertising tests that specifically analyzed podcast advertisers. Overall study found that their was a strong positive impact of podcast advertising on brand recall. The study also highlighted that 60% of listeners were able to specifically mentioned a grocery brand.
The studies also found that unaided product awareness was increased by 47% for financial services product. These studies were conducted by Edison on behalf PodcastOne which analyzed the effectiveness of podcast advertising for five brands. Some of these brands were well known and others were lesser known.
Each brand ran separate ads 4-6 weeks on the podcasts using the same methodology. Edison found that the podcast advertising format provided enhanced brand impact. These results proved that their multi-tiered approach to integrated advertising and measurement.
