Mighty Fortress Church: A Church Committed to Fulfilling God’s Words

Minnesota has an abundance of beautiful and unique churches. The state has a nice mixture of old and historic churches and new modern ones with amazing architecture. The Assumption Chapel was established in 1951 after the previous Grasshopper Chapel was destroyed by a devastating tornado. It is a Gothic style church located on the top of a wooded hill. It was built as a last resort effort for a day of prayer in hopes of ending the grasshopper locust that wreaked havoc on the area in the 1870’s. After the Grasshoppers died off, the church was made into a memorial.

Fowler Methodist Episcopal Church is located in Minneapolis, Minnesota. It has Roman style architecture with two tall square steeples with beautiful brick archways. It was built by architect William H. Hayes in 1894.
